On 27 November the First term EMLE students in Rotterdam had a drink with the Study association In Duplo

Last week the “Smitse” – student bar on the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) campus – hosted our first-term Rotterdam EMLE students. They had the chance to meet Dutch students from the study association “In Duplo”, which is for students of the double degree program in Law and Economics. While enjoying some drinks, both groups of students had the chance to get to know each other and exchange their experiences.

For the Dutch students it was interesting to hear why EMLE students applied for the programme and why they choose the different EMLE locations. On the other hand, the EMLE students could improve their Dutch and learned more about the Dutch student life.

Also some recent EMLE alumni were able to join the drinks and shared their memories of the yearly Midterm Meeting and their experience of applying for jobs after graduating from the EMLE. Other than that, students chit-chatted about the lessons and teachers, their EMLE experience, and exchanged tips for a successful application to the program.

Overall, the drink was a great success from both parties and we hope to be able to have started a new tradition!
